Miroslav Tichý, the Czech photographer whom I posted about last year when he had a major retrospective at the International Center of Photography in New York, died earlier this month at the age of 84. With his homemade "trash cameras" and voyeuristic photographs of women on the street, I thought of Tichý as a sort of harmlessly lecherous, Eastern-block version of Bill Cunningham.
