It's a Wrap

.
Mika Tajima, After the Martini Shot (installation view)
If you're in town tomorrow, stop by SAM to see (or see again) Mika Tajima's installation, After the Martini Shot, and watch a collaborative performance with designer Mary Ping (shot by Charlie Schuck):
Throughout the day, the exhibition functions as an open set photo shoot directed by the artist and the designer, involving models and a photography crew. Using folding and pleating techniques to create collaborative sculptural garments from printed images, the collaborators extend the topography of the objects by folding the entire scene into the subject of photography production.
Wrap party with the artists and Marisa C. Sánchez, Associate Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art, from 4-6 p.m. at TASTE Restaurant.

More info here, and see more of Mika's fantastic work at her website.

Objects of Desire

.
Charlie Schuck was featured in the Home section of this morning's New York Times (congratulations! about time!). Charlie is an incredible photographer who began curating a gallery / pop-up shop called Object in 2010. A showcase for Northwest designers, Object gained a permanent home in Belltown this past November.

Charlie also happens to be among a number of supremely talented people we've had the privilege of working with on an upcoming project (more info coming...soon...really...). We couldn't be happier to see him getting his props.
