On the way back from the beach Saturday we were listening to some Dead Moon, and I mentioned this documentary on the band, Unknown Passage: The Dead Moon Story. It's worth checking out if you haven't seen it. Here's the trailer:
(We were also talking about I Like Killing Flies, the documentary on Shopsin's, the acclaimed/infamous diner. There aren't really any clips online that demonstrate the true spirit of the movie, but it's a good one to get from Netflix if you're interested in restaurants, food, weirdos, etc.)

In Unknown Passage, Fred Cole talks about being in a band in the '60s called The Weeds. They had the same manager as The Seeds, who have experience a little resurgence lately, having been featured in some ads and being sampled by Diplo and others.
