. Marisa Berensen in Vogue, 1969 (not sure of the photographer – maybe Francesco Rubartelli?) from the recent book Marisa Berensen: A Life In Pictures, by Steven Meisel, with design by friend-of-the-blog Jason Duzansky.
. This coat should not still be available in almost every size, at this price. Unless there is something weird going on with the cut that isn't evident from the photos, this one promises heavy wardrobe rotation. The 3/4 sleeves are no issue in a place like Seattle – and anyway, who doesn't like an excuse to wear long gloves?
Diane Von Furstenberg Loretta Coat, $325 (originally $815) at Matches.
Air scores a newly restored edition of George Méliès’ 1902 film Le Voyage dans la Lune (A Trip To The Moon). Méliès hand-painted every frame of the color version of the film, which "pioneered the use of trompe l’oeil objects, papier-mâché props and double-exposure to tell the first science fiction tale in cinema." Air's score features vocals from Au Revoir Simone and Victoria Legrand (Beach House), and “when the people talk [in the film], we decided to use animal sounds,” says Nicolas Godin of Air.
