It made me think of this photo Strath took when we were in Tennessee a few years ago - some creative county or township had the bright idea of shoring up the banks of their river with a bunch of old cars:

We have this car-riverbank phenomenon in NW Montana as well. Coming from the East Coast, I was pretty horrified, but my husband (a long time Montanan) told me that it was a US Army Corps idea. Say hi to Littlejeans for me!
