There's also just two weeks left to see
Love Fear Pleasure Lust Pain Glamour Death: Andy Warhol Media Works at the Seattle Art Museum – another excellent show, especially for the chance to see Warhol's screen tests projected huge onto the museum walls.

Here They Come Now

.

I'm looking forward to seeing the impossibly titled love fear pleasure lust pain glamour death, the Seattle Art Museum's upcoming exhibition of Andy Warhol's polaroids, Screen Tests, and other media works.

The show opens this Thursday, May 13. The members preview (in conjunction with the same-day opening of Kurt) is on May 12 from noon to 8. More info here.

To complement the show, SAM will be screening Chelsea Girls in its Plestcheef Auditorium on Friday, May 21 (7:30 – 11 p.m.).

My Name Is My Name

.
Photographs by Billy Name, resident photographer of the Factory from 1963 to 1970: (Left) Edie Sedgwick during her 1965 screen test at Andy Warhol's Silver Factory; (Right) Andy Warhol with, clockwise from top, Mary Woronov, Nico and International Velvet, in 1966. Billy Name's archive of negatives has tragically gone missing, the result of a dispute with his former agent. Here's hoping that the article in last Friday's New York Times helps to expose and correct the situation.

Visit Billy Name's website for more images and info.
